So much of therapy, like many things in life, is about doing the obvious. If you want to lose weight, for example, we all know that changing your diet and getting exercise works.
Doing the obvious can be quite different than understanding the obvious. Sometimes we need a little extra encouragement to do what we know to be useful. It can be helpful to have reminders of the things we know to be true, which is why I suggest you read Sara Noel’s post about how Five Ways to Get the Most Out of Therapy .
Sarah Noel offers sage, yet obvious, advice to help you get the most bang for your therapy buck, which essential boils down to taking it seriously and following through. Enjoy.
